Great cinematic production...however I have to agree that the battle was way too random, the first monster kicked my ass 3x in the row and I gave up...

Love the music and sound effects! The defeat squeak was very sad and agonizing. The level music is a little melancholic. It made me less inclined to fight but instead ponder why such an endless war between two duck factions is being fought.

The art is great, very unique color palette.

The game is a little too easy, I just kept building those captain duck things and steam-roll to victory. The controls are a little awkward: units get deselected after action, number keys to build instead of just clicking on icon.

Overall, props to making an rts for such a short amount of time, considering rts to be a very technical genre to create!

Yngar responds:

Thanks for the review! I just added the ability to click to spawn ducks.

What an epic intro, that suckered me into playing this game.

Kolumbo responds:

That was it's purpose.

Wow nice! Definitely has that pikimin feel with your little army. I think this idea can work great with more time put into it. I can see this being a top-down adventure rts, basically zelda with armies.

The music makes this game feel like a Lords of the Ring epic adventure. The gameplay itself wasn't too challenging, I just click spam all the way to victory. It needs some sort of way to limit that or some obstacles to make each click more meaningful.

TheNavigat responds:

Thanks goes to David, the musician! Thanks Dave!

We tried to make it as simple as possible, not the opposite, that meant losing some users, but it was worth the risk. We tried adding the clicks counter as a way of fighting the spam-clicking winning a little bit, so you try to decrease your clicks count as much as possible, but apparently it added a very little bit, or maybe even nothing.. Thanks for the review.

Wow, really good production for just two weeks! It really captures the NES style, even the way each character is introduced.

The only gripes I have are those floating bridges on some levels obscuring your view too many times. Overall it is a pretty fun game.

WingDemon responds:

Haha, well on some of those levels the floating platforms are meant to obscure your vision ;) (most notably Igor's level) but glad you liked it!

This is pretty good, all around production is great for just 2 weeks! It got a bit hard to see things once the battlefield is a mess. But at the same time those blood stain make it look awesome! Great job guys!

meh
